ALMAGRO: City of LITERATURE - Things to DO in ALMAGRO (2021)If you are living in Spain you've probably heard about Almagro, located in Castilla-La Mancha: usually the main tourist attractions have to do with nature, theater and history, that is to say, if you are one of us, a curious and culture passionate, this place is more than recommended for you, In addition, according to the city council of Almagro, in 2019 they received a total of 114,000 tourists, approximately 10,000 more than in 2018. Curiosities of ALMAGROAlmagro is a Spanish city located in the province of Ciudad Real (Castilla-La Mancha), more or less in the center of it, with a current population of 8900 people (INE 2021). It is said that the first human settlement was in the Bronze Age, and already in Roman times monuments such as aqueducts, were being built along the current Paseo de la Estación, however, its origin dates back to the Almohad period, when they built a small castle called Almagrib, with the purpose of controlling the transit the routes to Toledo and Cordoba.
